This is the Place

Well, we've made up our mind (for about the 3rd time, now) & there is no going back now. This is OUR DIRT!! Lot 70 is where our home is going to go.

We are very excited! We are wrapping up the details with the builder, and construction should start soon. After 2 rounds of house-hunting, it turns out that we can get the best deal on a house by building one (and getting everything we want- cool!) My favorite part about this house is that it backs to the Organ Mountains. Aren't they beautiful?! Seriously!! We are putting giant windows all along the back side of the house, and we should have awesome views of these mountains from our kitchen, dining room, great room, and master bedroom (and of course the back patio/yard).

Now, just picture it with that not-so-lovely desert shrubbery gone...it's gonna be sweet!
We'll be posting lots of pictures as the building starts and progresses, and we are hoping to be moving in come June-July (our lease is up in August).
