Just after getting to Rocky Mountain National Park, it started to rain on us. Not a single one of us had brought a jacket (some Eagle Scout I am), despite the fact that we would be hiking at elevations around 8 and 9 thousand ft during monsoon season. To salvage the day we ran into the nearest town which was Grand Lake, a beautiful little town (like sooo many here in Colorado) that catered to the tourists. We found the cheapest jacket in town and all four of used ponied up the dough to get a matching set. Despite our efforts however, by the time that we made it back to the park, the weather could not have been more perfect. There was no longer a need for a coat. The only time we were able to sport our new attire was for this photo. Nothing went to plan on the trip, but it was still a great time.
